New School
Pétion-Ville, Haiti -- Funds updated weekly.
Raised: $266Needed: $40000
One of the best ways to end extreme poverty is through education. Ensuring that kids have a quality education is vital. Right now in Pétion-Ville, Haiti, our local leader runs a school for 30 orphans and over 150 kids that attend school from the local community. They currently meet under tarps and tents.
We want to build these kids a “real” school. We have two phases for this; This summer, we hope to build the first phase so the kids can start school on time by fall of 2012. Then we will start phase two, in the summer of 2013, and expand the school in the fall of 2013.
When you throw a garage-sale party, the proceeds of your garage sale will go towards helping these amazing kids get an education, so they can eventually attend college, have a career, and provide for their own family down the road.
