Musha Wevana home for orphaned and abandoned children was started over 10 years ago, and along with the local church they now care for nearly 100 children living in five houses. Many of these children have been out of school for several years before coming to live at Musha Wevana, and they have tremendous academic needs that require more support than can currently be offered. We would like to launch an afterschool program that pays teachers to support children with reading, mathematics, and homework assignments in small groups. This would really help the children catch up to their peers and succeed academically.
