Help Build Sylvestre a Home!
Port-au-Prince, Haiti
Raised: $8000Needed: $8000
We first met Sylvestre in September, 2010. Since then, he’s been working with Help End Local Poverty as a translator when we take trips to Haiti.
Sylvestre is a humble, bright and passionate young man! He is currently a full-time student, studying business and accounting at the local University.
His family’s home was severely damaged in the earthquake. For many months after the earthquake, his family lived in a tent. Recently, they’ve moved back into their old home and they are doing the best they can do. The current homes is dangerous; walls have fallen down and large cracks are everywhere, it’s been officially condemned. Many nights, Sylvestre and his family sleep, standing up because the rain water soaks their entire home!
We’re committed to building Sylvestre’s family a new home. Our goal is to have them moved in to their new home before Christmas!
